Miranda City Fitness was born in November 2015 to provide community based affordable fitness classes and running clubs to ladies and gents of all ages and abilities.
Nyrene Dudley of the sports development unit and Plymouth city council headhunted me to get involved with their project of getting the people of Plymouth active.
Gradually my classes grew and I gained additional qualifications to broaden the types of fitness classes I could deliver.
These classes include Supertone, which is ladies only circuit training based, Kettlebells, indoor cycling, different ability running clubs including Couch to 5k (with the help of my wonderful husband John, our gorgeous Julie, and Femi, who are my very supportive running leaders. I also deliver Oomph, a chair based exercise class aimed at the over 60s, with the help of wonderful Sandra, Chris and Mary.
The sports development unit and Plymouth city council gradually withdrew their funding and Miranda City Fitness became standalone at the end of March 2019.
The people that attend Miranda City Fitness classes have become a close knit family. Great friendships have been made and every bodies mental health has improved alongside their fitness. My ethos is for everybody to be kind and supportive to each other.
Coming through the door on day 1 is a huge thing and everybody is so welcoming, caring and lovely. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Due to the corona virus outbreak all of my classes are now online. I have a website at https://mirandacityfitness.com/.Please visit the website where I will be posting fitness videos, workouts and advice.
At this very difficult time I don’t want to charge anyone to view my online classes, but if you would like to make a donation then my suggestion is a £1 at GoFundMe
